The eva bread

A yearly ritual! My very own personal favorite is always our special festive loaf! Made with wheat, whole-wheat and rye. An explosion of flavors: finely chopped ginger, fresh orange juice and zest, cranberries and currants balance the ginger kick and walnuts elevate its taste and texture. I love it! No matter how many recipes I bake, this one is a ME bread which I make on special occasions.

The crumb is a bit dense and the rise is compromised due to the many inclusions. It certainly isn’t my prettiest loaf but the flavors are simply amazing and truly unique!!  It’s perfect with cheese, cold cuts and a glass of wine! Toasted is an amazing! Me? I just snack on it all day 🫣
